Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Your privacy matters when planning a stay. This policy explains what information EleTravel uses, who receives it and how to contact us about your rights.

1. Who to contact about your data

EleTravel (also referred to as Ele Travel) is responsible for the personal information it uses to operate eletravel.com and provide its concierge and booking services. This policy explains those uses under applicable data protection law, including the UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

For privacy requests, contact info@eletravel.com or write to EleTravel, 4901A, 5 Jewry St, London EC3N 2EX, United Kingdom. Telephone: +44 7537 107480.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: email address, authentication identifiers and profile details you provide. If you sign in with Google, we receive the account information shared through that sign-in process, not your Google password.
  • Booking information: contact details, guest names, destinations, hotels, travel dates, occupancy, room preferences, booking codes and correspondence needed to arrange your stay.
  • Messages and feedback: contact form submissions, live-chat messages, images you choose to attach, reviews and satisfaction feedback.
  • Payment records: booking amount, currency, payment status, method, provider reference and invoice details. For cryptocurrency, this can include wallet addresses, transaction references, asset, network and confirmation data visible on a public blockchain.
  • Technical information: information such as IP address, browser or device details, service requests and error or security logs generated when you use the website.

3. Why we use information and our legal bases

  • Contract or steps requested before a contract: answering booking enquiries, arranging accommodation, administering accounts used for bookings, processing payments and sending confirmations or invoices.
  • Legal obligations: keeping required financial records, responding to lawful requests and meeting applicable accounting or regulatory duties.
  • Legitimate interests: securing the website, preventing fraud, troubleshooting, managing service correspondence and moderating reviews. These uses must be balanced against your rights and expectations.
  • Consent: where required for optional marketing, non-essential cookies or other optional uses. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. A booking or enquiry does not by itself constitute consent to marketing.

4. Who receives information

We share only the information needed for the relevant purpose with:

  • Hotels and accommodation suppliers to arrange and fulfil your reservation. Hotels may act as independent controllers for their own guest records.
  • Square for card processing and related fraud checks. Your full card number and security code go directly to Square through its payment fields, not to EleTravel’s servers. See Square’s Privacy Notice.
  • Lovable Cloud and associated hosting, authentication, storage and email delivery providers that support our website and communications.
  • Google when you choose Google sign-in, and WhatsApp or Telegram when you choose those channels. These services apply their own privacy notices and may process communication metadata and content.
  • Professional advisers, authorities or parties involved in a business transfer where necessary and lawful, with appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your personal information. Approved reviews may be displayed publicly with the reviewer details associated with them; never include contact details or sensitive information in a review. Blockchain records are public and cannot generally be altered or erased by EleTravel.

5. International processing

Your hotel may be outside the United Kingdom, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Where a restricted international transfer is subject to UK or EU data protection law, the applicable transfer requirements must be met, for example through an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful mechanism.

Contact us to ask about the destinations and safeguards relevant to your information. We do not claim that all information stays in the United Kingdom.

6. How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including handling your booking, ongoing account services, complaints, legal claims and applicable financial recordkeeping obligations. The appropriate period depends on the record, legal requirements and whether a dispute is ongoing.

Enquiry, chat and attachment records should not be kept indefinitely without a continuing reason. You may request deletion or information about the retention period applicable to a specific record. Where records must be retained by law or for legal claims, deletion may be limited. Public blockchain records are outside our ability to delete.

7. Security and sensitive information

We use measures intended to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, account authentication and restricted access to service records. No website or communication method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Never send full card details, security codes, passwords, cryptocurrency private keys or wallet recovery phrases by chat, email or attachments. Provide only information needed for your booking. Contact us before sharing health or accessibility information so an appropriate process can be agreed; where legally required, we will obtain explicit consent or another permitted basis before processing sensitive information.

8. Cookies and browser storage

EleTravel uses essential cookies or similar browser storage for authentication, continuity of live chat and remembering your cookie-notice choice. Local storage is information saved in your browser; it is not necessarily a cookie, but similar privacy rules may apply.

  • Account session: authentication storage keeps you signed in and allows the session to renew. Signing out clears the active session; clearing browser data can also remove saved sign-in information.
  • Chat continuity: browser storage remembers your chat session so you can return to an ongoing conversation.
  • Cookie notice: the local storage entry ele-cookie-consent remembers that you acknowledged our notice. It remains until you clear browser storage.
  • Payment and sign-in providers: services such as Square or Google may use their own necessary storage when you interact with them, under their notices.

The website’s current notice concerns essential storage; its “Accept” button acknowledges that notice and is not permission for advertising or optional analytics. Where non-essential storage requires consent, it must not be activated before that consent is obtained.

You can remove or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Doing so may sign you out, reset the notice or interrupt chat and payment functions. You can use email or telephone to enquire about a booking instead.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy of certain data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

Email info@eletravel.com to exercise a right. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions. Requests are normally free; any legally permitted fee or refusal will be explained.

We do not use solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you in our booking service. Payment providers may conduct their own fraud screening under their policies.

10. Children and other guests

The website’s booking and account services are intended for adults. An adult arranging a family stay may provide the limited information about children needed by the hotel, such as age and occupancy. Do not create an account for a child or send unnecessary information about them.

If you provide details of other guests, ensure you are authorised to do so and make this notice available to them.

11. Complaints and policy changes

Please contact us with any privacy concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or to the relevant data protection authority in your country where applicable.

We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will notify you of significant changes and request consent for a new use that requires it.
